ONIT Sciences’ European Expansion Efforts Still Fruitful Despite Challenges

ONIT sponsors High! Canada Magazine’s EU tour, sends consultant David Mac Adam to seek distribution

ONIT Sciences’ recent efforts to expand distribution to European Union member countries was cut short due to the coronavirus outbreak. The company sent ONIT consultant and High! Canada Magazine editor David Mac Adams to follow the magazine’s recent multi-stop trade show tour in an effort to identify potential distribution partners and customers. The trade shows have been postponed and are expected to resume later this summer.

High! Canada Magazine also publishes High! Europe Magazine, providing meaningful relationships with many of the exhibitors and attendees. Mr. Mac Adam and High! Publisher Cy Williams made the most of their abbreviated schedule, with introductions to ONIT Sciences of a vertically integrated Swiss company that provides cultivation, extraction and distribution services, a UK-based grower collective representing a network of UK growers, a seed bank, clothing line and retail operations, and an agriculture company operating in conjunction with the Navajo Nation here in the US.

“Although we would have liked to hit every stop along the trade show tour, I’d say we made some extremely valuable connections with the limited time we had,” stated Jeff Moses, ONIT’s chief marketing officer. “I am looking forward to our representatives returning to Europe once the restrictions are lifted. They are very receptive to ONIT products, and I’m certain we can lock in significant distribution partners there.”

The company is arranging for samples to be sent to these companies for testing, followed by more detailed negotiations for distribution and sales. This push into the EU follows the company’s recent establishment of distribution in Mexico, which is expected to begin ordering product this spring.
